WORTHINGTON - The Buffalo Ridge Drug Task Force on Friday assisted in the arrest of a fugitive from Garland, Texas, wanted as the suspect in a murder case. According to information released by task force commander Nate Grimmius, Garland investigators were in Pipestone County attempting to locate Adrian Jimenez Regalado, who was suspected of killing a man in Garland. The investigator’s sought the task force for assistance in locating Regalado, who had been residing in Pipestone and working on a nearby farm. Agents believed Regalado was attempting to flee from the investigation and travel to Mexico when they received information he had obtained a bus ticket using a false name and was scheduled to leave for Laredo, Texas the morning of August 21st.... Agents conducted an inventory of Regalado’s luggage and located a zip style baggie containing a substance agents believed was heroin. Garland investigators later spoke with Regalado who confessed in a post Miranda interview he shot and killed the Garland man because of a previous drug debt.
