Bellaire Police Officers arrested seven drivers for operating motor vehicles with invalid or suspended drivers’ licenses in the city last week. Officers also investigated one case of burglary of a motor vehicle, one shoplifting case and a death investigation involving an elderly resident. On July 31, at 2:54 a. m. a Bellaire officer was in the process of booking a suspect for driving while license invalid. Shortly after noon on July 31, a Bellaire officer stopped a black Chevrolet in the 5400 block of Bellaire Blvd. The driver presented her Texas ID card, but she was subsequently found to have an invalid driver’s license. Another driver with a suspended Texas Driver’s License was arrested on August 1, after he was stopped in the 5100 block of Bellaire Blvd. At about 1:30 p. m. on August 1, a Bellaire officer was dispatched to investigate a death at a residence in the 4600 block of Evergreen. On August 1, a Bellaire officer recovered property found in the 7500 block of the IH 610 East service road. On August 2, Bellaire police responded to a theft-in-progress at a store in the 5800 block of Bissonnet.
