The suspect left the parking lot in a white 2011 Buick Lucerne car, bearing NC license plate WNY-8940, and was last seen traveling west on Highway 280 toward Brevard, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Office. Within an hour after the news release was sent, the Sheriff's Office announced officers were able to determine through tips and an investigation that they were looking for 25-year-old Corey Aaron Leach. Leach is now wanted on warrants for felony larceny from a person and felony possession of a stolen car. “If she had caught ahold of him, she'd have had a little something for him,” the sheriff said on the phone Thursday evening.
