RAY — Patricia Hill, 81, Ray, passed away July 13, 2015, at Trinity Hospital, Minot. Services will be held at 1 p. m. Sunday, July 19, at the Ray Lutheran Church. Friends may call at the Ray Lutheran Church on Sunday for the hour preceding the funeral service. Pat attended the Stokke School in her younger years. She worked for room and board at Alec Rawicher's while attending Williston High School, graduating with the Class of '51. Her first job out of high school was at Red Owl as a checkout clerk for $25 a week. After marriage and moving to Ray she worked at Citizens State Bank and then the First National Bank until retiring in 1997. Pat married Alvin (Bud) Hill on June 9, 1956. The hottest June 9 on record. Besides being the best wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, being the lefse lady may be how she will long be remembered. If ever there was a project that needed attention, help needed at church, school, in the community, her hand always went up. She was always busy giving and sharing with her time and talents. She welcomed all who came to her door, her kitchen was always open, wonderful smells filling the house, you might find a fresh bun, apple turnover or donut, or maybe a fresh rolled piece of lefse. If Pat was rolling there was a good chance Bud would be flipping. Source: bismarcktribune.com
