Scene: Steampunk, summer celebrated in Bethlehem - Allentown Morning Call

20 at a farewell-to-summer event hosted by the Historic Bethlehem Museum & Sites at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts. The celebration, the "End of Summer White Party," included a show-stopping Steampunk-inspired fashion show. An exhibit at the Kemerer featuring national and locally owned Steampunk pieces continues through Nov. Party-goers enjoyed the breathtaking collection of Victorian-embellished handmade garments by Rose Ellen of Allentown vintage clothing company RC Moore for the Unique Individual. Ellen created a personal story to describe the intricate costumed characters on the runway. Featured fantasy personalities include Delva, the beautiful daughter who was locked away in a tower on the edge of the sea. Culinary Experience Catering of Hellertown prepared tasty hors d'oeuvres and desserts, including smoked salmon cucumber bites with dill cream cheese, melon and cheese skewers topped with prosciutto, roasted shrimp shooters with a dipping sauce,...
