Buick’s Encore rang up a sales increase of over 29 percent in the first half of 2015, making the it most successful vehicle in the brand’s new lineup. Now, Buick is taking its Encore nameplate to a whole new level, roiling out a new 2016 Sport Touring Edition that should be in Pittsburgh area dealerships by this fall. “Encore is a driving force behind Buick’s expansion and a catalyst for introducing a new generation of customers to the brand,” said Duncan Aldred, U. S. vice president of Buick. “The all-new Encore Sport Touring broadens that base, giving customers more choices – along with more performance, more technology and more efficiency. The Sport Touring gets a new roof mounted spoiler as well as fog lights, body colored door handles and new 18-inch alloy wheels. However, Buick has really taken this new edition one step further, giving it an exclusive, all-new 1. 4-liter turbo charged engine. The new technologically advanced engine is part of a new global family of engines from Buick designed to develop balanced performance and efficiency with exceptional refinement, according to Buick.
