Creagh charged in overdose death of Chris Wolford - Marion Star

For the first time, authorities officially alleged Eric Creagh’s sale of heroin led to an overdose death as part of a nine-count federal indictment returned Wednesday. Attorney’s Office spokesman Michael Tobin said officials have linked the drugs to the death of Chris Wolford, 31, who died May 22. Bailey Witzel, 19, also died of an overdose attributed to heroin laced with fentanyl, officials reported. Creagh was arrested June 10 after an investigation by local, state and federal authorities who alleged he was the “main supplier” of heroin and fentanyl in Marion. Marion County Prosecutor Brent Yager said he does not plan to charge Creagh with involuntary manslaughter for Wolford’s death.
