Drug operation busted near Waynesboro High - The Daily Progress
Just after 12:30 a. m. , Waynesboro police pulled over a 2000 Cadillac Escalade on W. Main Street near Hall Lane, to let the driver know about some malfunctioning equipment on the vehicle. Monticello Mattress & More Geoff Hoffman and Kris Thomas founded Monticello Mattress & More in 2015. While each has lived in the Central Virginia area their entire lives, both were at different points in their lives when establishing this business. Geoff, a sales veteran with over 20 years of experience had recently left his position as Vice President of a wine wholesaler when Kris graduated from the University of Virginia. Due to the established number of homes in Lake Monticello and the growing surrounding area, Geoff and Kris felt a reliable mattress store would provide the community with a viable option in comparison to big box retailers in surrounding cities. Doug's Maytag Doug's Maytag Home Appliance Center started out as Doug’s Appliance Repair in February of 1991. Douglas and Kelly Golder began running the company out of their home and garage, where it remained for 3 years. As the company started growing, they rented a store front in the town of Scottsville, Virginia where they continued to provide excellent appliance repair service to their customers.
