Puppy Palooza adoption event this weekend - Thehour.com

On Saturday and Sunday the dogs, most of whom were rescued from abuse or euthanasia from shelters in the southeastern U. S. , will be available for adoption at Petco in Norwalk. "With more than 50 adoptable puppies, Puppy Palooza is the perfect place to find a new best friend," said T. A. I. L. S President Dorrie Harris. Some of the rescued dogs up for adoption include: Ellie, a four-month-old lab, Fancie, a two-year-old terrier/sheltie mix, Kyndall, a three-month-old terrier/retriever mix, and Keaton and Kiki, two-and-four-year-old teacup chihuahuas. "For those who are interested in adopting a dog, the whole family has to come to the event," Harris said. "Also if you have a dog at home, it's required that that dog has to come also. Those who are interesting in adopting are also encouraged to fill out an adoption application ahead of time. "Putting an application in ahead of time not only pushes you towards the top of the list, it also saves you time at the event," Harris said. "Applications need to be filled out online by Thursday night," Harris said. All canines will be spayed/neutered, given age appropriate shots (Rabies, DHPP, Bordatella), heartworm blood test (age appropriate), microchip and a. Source: www.thehour.com
