Two-Vehicle Injury Collision on I 24 - SurfKY News

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (8/5/15) — According to a Kentucky State Police report, KSP investigated a two-vehicle, injury-collision that occurred on Interstate 24, at approximately the 86 mile-marker, on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 11:15 p. m. The preliminary investigation revealed that Shanise Phillips , 23, Clarksville, Tenn. , was operating a 2013 Nissan Versa westbound on I-24 in the left lane. , was operating a 2004 Cadillac Deville westbound on I-24 in the right lane. The report said Phillips crossed over into the right lane and her vehicle collided into Campbell's, causing both operators to lose control. Phillips and her passenger, Darrell Starks , 31, Madisonville, Ky. , were transported via ambulance to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment. , was flown by Air Evac to Tristar Skyline Medical Center for treatment of severe injuries. His other passenger, Nicole Cummins , 34, Clarksville, Tenn. Trooper Sean Wint investigated the collision.
