Hartsville man charged with attempted murder in connection to Sixth Street ... - WMBF

HARTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) – A Hartsville man was arrested Monday afternoon in connection to a shooting that took place early Saturday morning on Sixth Street in Hartsville. Dejon Joel Owens, age 24, is charged with attempted murder, according to a police report from the Hartsville Police Department. the report shows Owens is the owner of a 2003 white Cadillac Deville. On August 15, officers were dispatched to Brewer Avenue in reference to a shooting that occurred on Sixth Street, according to the police report. The report states that dispatch advised that the shooter was driving a white Cadillac and was last seen on Sixth Street heading towards Washington Street. Another day of summer-like heat will be with us today with highs reaching the 90 degree mark on the beaches and breaking well into the 90s inland. The chance for an afternoon storm lingers through the evening hours once again tonight. This weekend won't prove to be a washout but more widely scattered storms can be expected both Saturday and Sunday.
