Chinese-Assembled 2016 Cadillac CT6 Shows Up Early At 2015 Chengdu Auto Show - GM Authority (blog)

this is not just for Cadillac but for all brands I really don’t see the point of putting the displacement number on the car unless its a impressive number. but id rather see a trim level like “platinum” in place of 3. i know bmw and Mercedes does it but no point bragging about a 2. 8. might be just me. The CT6 is very imposing and has such beautiful presence. Makes me wonder now since its competitors are going long wheel base standard here in the states, BMW Mercedes and soon Audi A8, will the car sell well enough for Cadillac to continue for the second generation for other markets or is it really a... Eric while the number means little to you the liter is a way to tell what engine the car has in most other countries. Most companies are using 2. 0-3. 0 and 4. 0 to signify a 4-6-8 cylinder as these sizes are the most optimum for performance in all parameters with a Turbo engine. Also Ferrari used to make the engine size and number of cylinders part of the name for many years. Cadillac is moving to re enter these markets and they will need to market their line of engines as for once in the future here the will not just be GM corporate engines. Source: gmauthority.com
