Mother, son killed in wreck near Parkton - Fayetteville Observer

The wreck happened at 7:40 a. m. on Davis Mill Road, near Barlow Road, about a mile north of Parkton, according to a report filed by Trooper G. S. Inman. Raymen Harnish, 25, of Winesap Drive in Hope Mills, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet that was traveling south, toward Parkton, the report said. The car crossed the center line and crashed into a 2014 Ford van driven by Eligio Garcia, 46, of Shannon. Harnish, Garcia and a passenger in Garcia's vehicle, Santos Salvador, 38, of Red Springs, were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. All the people were wearing seat belts and the 5-year-old was properly restrained in a child safety seat, Brewington said. Harnish is being charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, Brewington said. 20, were killed when their sport utility vehicle collided with a pickup truck on Splendor Road in Red Springs.
