Police recover revolver stolen from home; man arrested - Montana Standard

Police early Monday recovered a revolver that was one of nine weapons valued at $5,000 stolen in a home burglary. Adam Glenn Gee, 31, of Butte was arrested shortly after 1:30 a. m. on the 1400 block of North Main in Walkerville after police received a report of suspicious activity. Gee, who was wanted on a probation violation, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe that was not registered to him. He gave a phony name – his brother’s – and as police attempted to remove him from the vehicle they found a revolver on the floor, Butte-Silver Bow Undersheriff George Skuletich said. The revolver – one of nine pistols and revolvers allegedly stolen from the home of a 71-year-old Butte man on the 3500 block of South Warren Street – had been reported missing Sunday. Skuletich said Gee’s probation officer was called to the scene early Monday. Gee is facing felony violation of release condition, felony possession of dangerous drugs, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstructing a peace officer and driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, both misdemeanors.
