UPDATE: Arrests made in assault of Olmsted Co. deputy - KIMT 3

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s office says a deputy pulled over a Chevrolet Equinox after noticing the driver was not wearing his seatbelt. The deputy ran after the suspect, following him between different homes. After running around one residence, the deputy encountered a man holding a baby who charged at him causing all three to fall to the ground. Through the commotion, the deputy continued his pursuit and caught the suspect as he tried to scale a fence. The suspect resisted arrest and engaged in a fight with the deputy. During the altercation, the three Hispanic females and an unknown male approached the deputy trying to pull him off of the suspect. At one point, the deputy was put in a choke hold.
