Sanders and Deputy M. Peek responded to the call to investigate. Based on witness statements the deputies were led to and made contact with Dustin J. Kilpatrick (32) in the 200 block of Whiting Street. The investigation revealed that a verbal confrontation, which involved Kilpatrick, escalated after he left and returned with a shotgun. One resident described the incident as so disruptive several residents in the area came outside of their homes and observed the incident. The investigation concluded with Kilpatrick’s arrest for Improper Display of a Firearm and Disorderly Intoxication. The charges originated from a case in April 2015.
