Police seek suspects in pair of car thefts from Monroe driveways - Monroe Courier

The Monroe Police Department is investigating two incidents of vehicles being stolen from residential driveways in the past week and a half. A home improvement contractor parked his 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer in the driveway of a home that he was working on in the 300 Block of Elm Street. The contractor noticed the vehicle was stolen at 11 a. m. when he went outside to get tools out of it. The Trailblazer was subsequently located in Bridgeport with damage to the front end, a punched-out ignition and all tools missing. The second incident occurred on September 1 at approximately 1 a. m. when a 2008 Cadillac CTS was stolen from a driveway located on Patmar Drive. Surveillance cameras from a residence showed three white males entering vehicles in the neighborhood and the Cadillac being driven from the victim’s home. The police department would like to remind residents that thefts from vehicles have risen in the region and to remind residents to always lock their car and never keep valuables inside.
