Anderson Police investigated a robbery-homicide at Divine Stylez-n-Cutz Barbershop — located at 609 W. 22nd St. — around 2 a. m. Nov. Investigators determined that Brandon Boone had been shot and killed, while Jaysson Streaty had been robbed and beaten with a baseball bat. 24-year-old Boone and 26-year-old Streaty had been late night patrons at the business. The shop's owner, 37-year-old James Hurd had been cutting Streaty's hair, while Boone sat on a nearby couch. During the initial investigation, Hurd and Streaty advised police that two masked men had entered the business — one armed with a handgun, and the other armed with a baseball bat. Streaty was also robbed, during which time he was beaten with the baseball bat. Boone, having advised the suspect that he did not have any money, began to walk away. 13, 2014 when Hurd reported that he believed the suspect had recently returned to the barbershop.
