Around 6:45 a. m. , the Barron County Sheriff's Department got a call of a suspicious person checking out houses south of Rice Lake. One of the deputies recognized Dumholt as the escapee and person wanted for a home invasion in Sawyer County. Despite his denials, deputies took him to the Barron County Jail where fingerprints positively identified him as Dumholt. Dumholt was taken to the Sawyer County Jail on the charges related to the home invasion and the warrant for the escape from the Black River Correctional Center.
