Around 6:45 a. m. , the Barron County Sheriff's Department got a call of a suspicious person checking out houses south of Rice Lake. One of the deputies recognized Dumholt as the escapee and person wanted for a home invasion in Sawyer County. Despite his denials, deputies took him to the Barron County Jail where fingerprints positively identified him as Dumholt. Dumholt was taken to the Sawyer County Jail on the charges related to the home invasion and the warrant for the escape from the Black River Correctional Center. Authorities reported Dumholt walked away from the center the evening of August 2. The male subject denied this and was transported to the Barron County Jail where a fingerprint scan positively identified this male as Kaeden Dumholt, who was wanted for the above incidents.
