Thread of the Day: Cars You Used to Think Looked Amazing, But Not So Much Anymore. - MotorTrend Magazine

those were cool looking, still kinda are, but the whole "space age" idea is gone. I've seen a few for sale, and they hold up well on basic colors, but deep colors and greens don't seem to hold as well. they did go past 93, but I think that is when they switched to the more blunt nosed look using the Pontiac Bonneville headlights. I say the Bubbly Ford Tuarus SHO. I found it different from the import scene that was starting up and it was good looking to me at the age. Too bad, the engine looks awesome when you pop the hood up. It was the 60s models that were overrated. To a man, ALL favor the current car. The 60s Vettes still look sharp and sound great, and it's nice to reminisce, but that's all. I think the most unattractive part of most 80s & 90s Fords happened to be the wheel well gaps. Cool wheels, not-so-cool tall tires) just hinder the appreciation for the cars lines. Modern cars are become less and less distinctive to their model name. The trendiness of design is making it easier to appreciate design short-term, while long term the cars lose their charm.
