2010 Chevrolet Cobalt Recalled for Possible Air Bag Issue - AutoGuide.com

The American automaker is recalling about 73,000 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt sedans for possible faulty wiring that could prevent an air bag from deploying in a crash. The issue is not related to the massive ignition switch recall that involved the 2005-2010 Chevrolet Cobalt. This time around, about 60,000 of the affected Cobalts are in the U. S. while the remaining 13,000 are in Canada. According to GM, the new recall is related to the sensor wire harness routing in the left front door of the Cobalt. If the harness is improperly routed, the window regulator could come in contact with the harness when the window is fully lowered. Discuss this story at our Chevrolet Cobalt Forum.
