Teen rear-ends state patrol car on I-5 in Bellingham - Bellingham Herald

A 17-year-old boy driving without insurance or a valid license rear-ended a Washington State Patrol car that had stopped to clear a chair off Interstate 5 on Thursday morning, April 16, the Washington State Patrol said. A 1991 Subaru Legacy slammed into his patrol car, a 2012 Chevrolet Caprice, Washington State Patrol spokesman Travis Shearer said. The high school student had lost control of the Subaru, but he was able to brake before hitting the car, Shearer said. Troopers cited the teen for negligent driving in the second degree, no valid operator’s license and driving without insurance, Shearer said. Source: www.bellinghamherald.com
