Road Trip 1989: An Olds Custom Cruiser and a California highway - AutoWeek

The Custom Cruiser was downsized to the B platform in 1977, but it was still considered a bit more luxurious than its Chevrolet Caprice and Pontiac Parisienne cousins. By today's standards, though, this car would be considered intolerably ill-equipped, with its non-remote outside mirrors, petroleum-distillate-sweating interior plastics, sagging headliner, and 170-hp Olds Rocket 350 V8. This particular car... Even though it had been well-cared-for, it was still pretty well used up by the time it got past 10 years of age. Fun fact: the cassette tape is an older format than the 8-track tape , by about a year. Source: autoweek.com
