Killer sentenced in Albany to life without parole - The Albany Herald

ALBANY — Convicted killer Ronnie Darnell Holmes was sentenced to life in prison without parole, plus six years, on Friday for his role in the April 11, 2013 shooting death of Terry Mack in Albany. 21, on charges of felony murder, armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault on two counts of possession of a firearm during commission of a felony. Police officials say the shooting occurred around 11:30 p. m. as Mack, who police said was a dealer of illegal drugs, was sitting in his 1997 Chevrolet Blazer near 221 Cone Street. According to Assistant District Attorney April Wynn, in return for consideration of a lighter sentence, Woods pleaded guilty to the charge of sale of cocaine and also testified during the trial as to Holmes’ part in the shooting. It’s unclear if Woods will be tried in connection with the murder of Terry Mack, but Wynn said that for the cocaine charge Wood will serve 17 years on probation in addition to the nearly two years he’s already served in jail.
