Taking them with a grain of salt is a must, but today they’ve brought us a staple of the sport utility market from when Y2K was a thing: the 1999 Chevrolet Blazer. The original Blazer came about in 1982 and debuted to the typical appliance like styling most of Detroit’s Big Three were hammering out at the time. Based on the Chevrolet S-10 pickup, the Blazer added the “sport” to America’s forthcoming SUV craze. It wasn’t all greener pastures, though, after the Blazer’s heyday came to an end in 2001.
