Weapons, clothing seized from suspects tied to officer's death - Citizens Voice

Guns, shotgun shells and clothing were among items seized from the three teens charged as adults in the July 11 armed robbery in West Scranton, according to search warrant inventory returns. The warrants allowed state police to take the clothing the teens wore the night they were arrested for robbery. State police charged the teens as adults with robbery, terroristic threats and related counts on allegations they pointed a shotgun at a man in West Scranton and robbed him. Lackawanna County District Attorney Andy Jarbola has said he plans to file second-degree murder charges against the three teens. Chief Public Defender Lawrence Moran said Tuesday that Lackawanna County Judge Margaret Bisignani Moyle has been assigned to the case in anticipation of homicide charges. Moran filed a petition to move the cases to juvenile court and the prosecution now has 30 days to file a response. One search warrant return shows state police seized a Mossberg 500A 12-gauge shotgun and 48 shotgun shells from a gold 2003 Chevrolet Blazer. Three other warrants collected clothing from the teens.
