Names Released in Rollover That Killed 1, Injured 1 - Times Record
Cynthia Elhard, a 61-year-old woman from Gackle, N. D. , died in a one-vehicle rollover accident at 10:57 a. m. Tuesday at mile marker 290 eastbound at Valley City, said Jamestown North Dakota Highway Patrol Commander Capt. Police said Elhard was driving a 1994 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck towing a 2002 Hornet camper. Shonda Henry, 49, of Streeter, N. D. , a passenger in the vehicle, was treated and released at Mercy Health in Valley City for injuries received in the accident, police said. Police said Elhard was eastbound on Interstate 94 and lost control of the vehicle combination. The truck came to rest in the median facing north, and trailer came to rest in the median on its driver's side, facing east. A 61-year-old female died when the pickup truck that was hauling a camper she was driving rolled over in a one-vehicle accident near Valley City at milepost 290 eastbound on Interstate 94, authorities said Tuesday afternoon. A 49-year-old female passenger in the 1994 Chevrolet Silverado was injured, treated at CHI Mercy Health in Valley City and released.
