Two crashes and an abandoned vehicle later …. Jasper — The Jasper Police Department arrested Logan E. Williams, 24, of Rhine Strasse, Jasper, after he allegedly crashed twice and then abandoned his vehicle on East 14th Street Friday evening. Officers were dispatched to 516 E. 15th Street about 10:27 p. m. for a hit-and-run accident involving a parked vehicle there. While en route, officers received another call of a vehicle striking a street sign at 14th and Jackson streets that then left the scene. Officers determined the vehicle had also struck the parked car and street sign. Williams was charged with possession of a controlled substance, operating while intoxicated (controlled substance) and leaving the scene of an accident. Jasper — The Jasper Police Department arrested Phil Neukam, 34, of Picadilly Circle, Jasper, after receiving a complaint he violated a no-contact order Saturday morning. The victim stated Neukam violated a no-contact order from a pending case between the two when Neukam allegedly threatened the victim in regards to dropping charges in the pending case. He was charged with violating the no-contact order, a Class A misdemeanor invasion of privacy count, as well as the additional charge of Level 6 felony intimidation for the.
