Bicyclist struck by SUV later dies at hospital in Herndon - Washington Post
Police in Fairfax County said the incident happened around 8 p. m. on Sunrise Valley Drive near Coppermine Road. Neither of the riders had on reflective clothing and they did not have lights on their bikes, police said. A 29-year-old Fairfax man who was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Suburban north on the same road approached the bicyclists from behind, police said, and hit one of the riders.
