Deputies: Marion man charged after vehicle stolen in Nebo - WHNS Greenville

The McDowell County Sheriff's Office said they charged a Marion man after a vehicle was stolen in Nebo. 2 that he parked his 1998 Chevrolet Malibu at Samir's on U. S. 70 and ran into a store. Deputies said witnesses reported seeing Joel William Robinette Jr. , 36, of Shady Lane in Marion, driving the stolen vehicle. Wildlife officials say the missing snake slithered out of its home some time Wednesday. The owner is licensed to own the deadly snake and told authorities other venomous snakes, including a female king cobra, are in the home in their enclosures. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said anyone who sees the snake should not try to catch it.
