Victim ID'd, driver jailed after fatal Friday crash - The Coloradoan

An 18-year-old Loveland man has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and vehicular homicide after flipping an SUV, fatally injuring a teen passenger. Hunter Lindernan, of Loveland, was driving a 1991 Chevrolet Suburban that was loaded with five other men — all from Berthoud — Friday morning in the 2800 block of Storm Mountain Drive. The SUV took a right-hand curve too fast, lost control, over-corrected and careened off the left side of the mountain road in rural Larimer County, southwest of Fort Collins. After hitting a boulder and tree, the SUV rolled onto its passenger side and partially ejected 19-year-old Michael Woodiel, Colorado State Patrol Trooper Josh Lewis said Saturday. Occupants ranged in age from 17 to 20 years old, and nobody else was seriously injured, Lewis said. Linderman was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide, careless driving and underage possession of alcohol. The death was the 27th vehicle-related fatality on roads in Larimer County so far this year. Source: www.coloradoan.com
