Hot August Nights says Barrett-Jackson will not return to Reno in 2016. The company decided not to renew its contract after it was up this year. It says during the first day of auction – August 6 – over 15,000 guests attended the event, at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. Barrett-Jackson says it also saw a 100% sell through rate this year totaling more than $9. 5 million, with over $400,000 raised for charity. The top selling car at this year’s event was a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Convertible at $214,500. . ----. From Barrett-Jackson:. Barrett-Jackson has announced that it will not be extending its agreement with Hot August Nights to return to Reno Tahoe in 2016. “While the past three years have been a great and exciting run, we will not be returning to Reno Tahoe as part of Hot... The three events were each a success in their own right, with the 2015 Hot August Nights Auction growing to over 40,000 attendees, including over 15,000 people on August 7 alone – a single-day record.
