T-shirts selling like a dream along the Cruise route - The Detroit News

With more than 1 million spectators expected along Woodward Saturday for the annual Dream Cruise, many want to remember the day — with a T-shirt. "We've been pretty steady all day," said Miranda Saviko, who works in customer service for E. A. Graphics in Sterling Heights, which was selling official Woodward Dream Cruise merchandise from a stand on the east side of Woodward south of 13 Mile. She said the top seller so far Saturday was an aqua shirt featuring a Chevrolet that costs $15 for most sizes. Across Woodward, at the BP gas station at Coolidge Highway, Fanatic U had its own large T-shirt tent selling several types of Dream Cruise designs, plus hats and other trinkets. Patrick Birchette, 59, of Detroit was sporting his black 2015 Woodward Dream Cruise T-shirt as he sat with his black 2005 Chevrolet Corvette convertible south of 13 Mile. "'Cause I own this Vette I thought I might as well get a shirt," said Birchette, who has been coming to the Dream Cruise for at least 10 years. But Birchette said he beat the crowds: He bought the T-shirt and a black polo-style shirt earlier in the week. Source: www.detroitnews.com
