Distinctive backpack sought in killing of Milwaukee teen - Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Milwaukee police are looking for a distinctive backpack to help solve a homicide. The backpack could contain an iPhone 6 with earbuds, silver headphones and an Educators Credit Union card, according to a police news release. Police have described the suspect vehicle in the shooting as a dark-colored, 1997-1999 Chevrolet Suburban. Young is among 105 people slain in Milwaukee so far this year. As Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn and others have pointed out, the year-to-year difference is especially stark, in part, because last year was one of the city's lowest homicide totals in the past 25 years. Many of the homicides in Milwaukee this year are the result of arguments or disputes, while smaller percentages are related to domestic violence, robbery attempts or drugs, Flynn said, speaking at Marquette University last week. Anyone with information about Young's killing is asked to call Milwaukee Police at (414) 935-7411. Source: www.jsonline.com
