Chevrolet recently announced its next generation Equinox mid-sized crossover, which has been designed to look more sleek and modern. The American manufacturer, General Motors Co. has built the Equinox a bit lower and wider so that it offers enhanced road grip to drivers. The 2017 crossover is expected to offer better mileage than the current generation Equinox and that of course is because of its light weight and compact shape. The upcoming Equinox model has been designed to fit into GM’s latest global compact platform, which is inspired by the Buick Envision that was introduced in China almost a year back. However, Chevrolet also plans to introduce another even more compact crossover that will be placed somewhere between the Traverse and the Equinox. Perhaps the automaker is planning to manufacture upcoming vehicles with improved fuel economy, just so that it could pull-in the demand that is currently shifting towards all-electric SUVs, like the upcoming Tesla Model X.
