2015 Chevrolet Silverado Midnight Edition - The Advocate

For $1,300 extra, the Midnight Edition trim adds an all-black front end with a body-colored grille, bumper, headlamp bezels, tow hooks and fog lights. Completing the blacked-out look are black side moldings, 18-inch black painted alloy wheels with Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac all-terrain tires, special Z71 badges on the doors and a black spray-in bedliner. Underneath all the Midnight Edition black, there is still a rugged 2015 Silverado – either double cab or crew cab – that has a Z71 off-road package with an off-road suspension, a locking rear differential, hill descent control and a trailering... The 2015 Chevrolet Silverado offers a choice of three EcoTec3 engines, including a 4. 3-liter V6, a 5. 3-liter V8 and a powerful 6. 2-liter V8, which was the engine in our Midnight Edition test truck. With that engine and a new 8-speed transmission, our custom-looking, blacked-out Midnight Edition has an SAE certified towing capacity of up to 12,000 pounds. The new 8-speed transmission is available on the 6. 2-liter V8, which cranks out 420 horsepower and 460 lb. -ft. of torque. 3-liter V6 engine delivers 285 horsepower and a respectable 305 lb. -ft. of torque, which is enough for most light duty truck chores. The Silverado’s EZ lift and lower locking tailgate was a breeze to operate with one hand. Source: theadvocate.com
