The worker reportedly continued to follow the vehicle, when he saw Valdez fire three shots at him near Lind Coulee. Deputies allegedly found the car on Road M Southeast. The chase continued to state Route 262 and to state Route 17. As they were driving on state Route 17, Yanez allegedly pushed a welding machine out of the car. Othello police and Adams County deputies joined the chase as it continued south on state Route 17. Valdez allegedly drove to Othello before he parked the car, and the two ran from the vehicle.
