Police chase in Streetsboro ends in fatality, roads closed - WKYC-TV

STREETSBORO, Ohio -- Police have released the names of the two people who led police on a chase and caused a fatal four-vehicle crash Tuesday. Police were responding to the theft report when the couple left the shopping center in a silver Chrysler Pacifica and headed south on state Route 43 around 1:30 p. m. Police say that before they could catch up with the vehicle, Tindell drove left... The vehicle then crossed back into the southbound lanes and stuck the back of a 2003 Ford Explorer, forcing the Explorer off the road. The vehicle then drove left of center again and stuck a 2014 Freightliner truck head-on. Both the driver of the Freightliner truck, 65-year-old Kenneth Bestoe of Ravenna, and the driver of the Explorer, 83-year-old David C. George of Streetsboro, had minor injuries and were taken to Robinson Memorial Hospital. The driver of the Mack truck, 58-year-old Michael Kalinowski of Homerville, was not injured. State Route 43 was closed from Frost Road to Crane Center Drive. It reopened around 5 p. m. "But they just ran him off the road and bumped right into him, and he totaled his car and out two tires, and it's just crazy," said Barbara George, whose father David George was in the Explorer.
