Maura Reilly Appointed Chief Curator at National Academy Museum - Artforum

The National Academy Museum has appointed Dr. Maura Reilly as its new chief curator. Reilly previously worked as founding curator of the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art at the Brooklyn Museum. The architectural firm BIG has revealed its plans for Two World Trade Center—evidence that Foster + Partners, the firm initially brought on to design the building—has been ousted, reports Jenna McKnight in Dezeen. 8-million-square-foot building will take up a portion of the sixteen-acre World Trade Center site in Lower Manhattan and will reach a height of 1,340 feet. 21st Century Fox and News Corp, the building’s key tenants, reportedly felt the seventy-nine-floor design proposed London-based Foster + Partners “was more suited for an investment bank than a modern media company,” and wanted BIG founder Bjarke...
