Police believe that Coss-Burford berated and struck a witness in the theft case against her Feb. Coss-Burford was taken into custody shortly after the death of James Earl Stanley, 32, on Feb. In an interview, Killeen Police Department spokeswoman Carroll Smith said Coss-Burford was a “person of interest” in the case, but had not been charged with Stanley’s death. Stanley’s death is still under investigation, and Coss-Burford was not facing any charge related to his death as of Wednesday. Theresa Nene Britt, 42, of Killeen, on a charge of possession of methamphetamine, less than 1 gram. Kaden Marquis Alexander, 17, of Harker Heights, on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Marco Antonio Sanchez, 33, of Killeen, on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of methamphetamine, less than 1 gram. Vanormer, 36, of Copperas Cove, on a charges of possession of methamphetamine, less than 1 gram, and possession of heroin, less than 1 gram.
