Police: Alcohol use suspected by woman who was hit, killed crossing Hwy 99E - KPTV.com
A woman was hit by a car and killed walking across Highway 99E near Milwaukie on Sunday night. Emergency crews responded to the highway near Southeast Holly Avenue at 9:15 p. m. Investigators said Stephanie Chestnut, 44, of Milwaukie, was hit by a 2013 Dodge Avenger driven by Zoe Hoyt, 56, of Gladstone. Hoyt stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Highway 99E was closed for about three hours during the investigation. OSP was assisted at the scene by the Oregon Department of Transportation, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, and Clackamas County Fire. Source: www.kptv.com
