Morning news show soaks up English Village, Lake Havasu - Today's News-Herald

“I certainly was not disappointed in meeting them in person, they are cool and friendly, I loved it,” said Havasu retiree Judy Burnette after she introduced herself to Tess Rafols and Scott Pasmore, anchors of the Phoenix-based news show Good... Burnette wasn’t alone as dozens of Havasu residents – including a squadron of Arizona State University students – set out for the English Village, where the news show was broadcasting live from Havasu as part of its Road Trip Friday special. With a team of anchors on location, they highlighted the London Bridge, sunset boat tours of the lake, the ASU campus and a bevy of local businesses that cater to visitors and locals alike. Pasmore raced Marla Martin, of Fitness by Marla, up the stairs of the bridge and edged her out by a nose. “Are you kidding, I need mouth-to-mouth resuscitation,” Pasmore joked as he caught his breath. Before he went on air for a quick interview, ASU at Lake Havasu Associate Director Raymond Van Der Riet said he was hoping to explain the hands-on learning focus at ASU’s newest campus. In earlier Friday Road Trip shows, the morning show team has made stops in Gilbert, Prescott and Bisbee, hitting the different corners of the state. But Pasmore said an Arizona road trip wouldn’t be the same without a stop in Havasu, where he has visited as a serious boater for 25 years. Source: www.havasunews.com
