Annous added that most Rim High students have good attendance now, but the Gas to Go to Class program may incentivize kids to boost their attendance. There actually will be two chances for Rim students to win a new truck. Rim High 9th-12th graders with perfect attendance for the 2015-2016 academic school year also will have the chance to win an array of incentives from iPods, iPads and scholarships. Now in its fifth year, more than $8 million has been raised to support the incentive program. There are 15 area high schools participating in this year’s sweepstakes for perfect attendance. The program is open only to enrolled students who are legal residents of California in the 9th-12th grades at the participating high schools.
