Valley branch of Federal Retirees Association celebrates 30th anniversary - Kings County Register/Advertiser

Formerly known as the Federal Superannuates National Association (FSNA), the association’s name was changed this year, says current branch president Eric Ayres. This required updating new national bylaws, a new strategic framework and a new name and logo in order to confirm to the new Not-For-Profit Act. Formed in 1984 to represent retired federal government employees residing between Aylesford and Windsor, the Orchard Valley Branch was officially chartered April 29, 1985, with Rex Guy as charter president. Guy continued as president until 1992, after which he served as FSNA national president from 1998-2004. He passed away in 2006. In 1997, the local chapter was renamed the Rex Guy Orchard Valley Branch in honour of his years of service. Source: www.kingscountynews.ca
