Fiat Chrysler dealers get look at forthcoming Dodge Barracuda convertible ... - MLive.com

Among the most exciting, according to a report in Automotive News , are a Dodge Barracuda convertible and a next-generation Dodge Charger. The next-gen Charger reportedly looks similar to this concept revealed in 1999:. A Jeep Grand Wagoneer SUV was also among the vehicles shown. Older Wagoneer models can be seen in the photo gallery above, in addition to the Jeep Chief concept revealed last spring. The Chief concept takes some noticeable styling cues from the Wagoneers of years past, but it is unclear how much if any of that would transfer to a future Jeep Grand Wagoneer product. Noticeably absent from the new product offering was a Jeep Wrangler pickup, which is something that has been well-received as a concept in the past but reportedly would be tough to justify from a production standpoint. Bronco might ride again at Michigan Assembly - The Detroit News

In addition to resurrecting the Ranger , Ford Motor Co. ’s plans for the Michigan Assembly Plant may include bringing back a Bronco midsize sport utility vehicle, according to a report by Bloomberg News on Wednesday. The Detroit News first reported late Tuesday that Ford plans to again sell the Ranger midsize pickup in the United States and build it at Michigan Assembly in Wayne. The Bloomberg story, which cited an unnamed source who asked not to be identified, said the Bronco would be built on a pickup frame, allowing it to be built alongside the Ranger. Analysts say a second product at the plant like the Bronco could take up most of the volume at the plant. They see the Bronco as a more rugged mid-size utility to pair with its Explorer and other sport utility offerings to fight Jeep and help take advantage of the white-hot SUV segment. The automaker’s lineup includes the full-size Expedition, mid-size Explorer and compact Escape, along with the full-size Flex crossover. Ford Flex sales have sunk 16. 1 percent through the first seven months of 2015, while Expedition sales have fallen 10. 9 percent, according to Autodata Corp. The Bronco, which drew national attention as the getaway vehicle for O. J. Simpson, was discontinued in 1996 after being built for 30 years at Ford’s plant in Wayne. Source: www.detroitnews.com

2 killed in head-on collision in Lincoln County - Casper Star-Tribune Online

THAYNE — A woman and an infant died when their vehicle drifted into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a pickup truck in Lincoln County. The patrol identified the victims as 35-year-old Decia C. Wright and 5-month-old Olivia R. Currier, both of Afton. Investigators say Wright was driving a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound on U. S. 89 when the vehicle drifted into the southbound lane of travel where the driver of a 2000 Dodge Ram pickup tried unsuccessfully to avoid the collision.
