It was expected that the new truck would be based on the next-generation Wrangler, which is set for production next year. Theophilis Chin has twice now created renderings of a Jeep pickup based on the Grand Cherokee, and the latest looks entirely believable. The giant wheels likely wouldn’t make it to production, but the short bed and clean lines make for a handsome truck. With the small-to-midsize truck segment growing once again, now seems like the perfect time for Jeep to build a competitor for the Colorado, Tacoma, and Canyon. Somehow it always seemed more plausible that Jeep would build a new pickup before Mercedes-Benz. While Jeep has its hands full with the new Wrangler and its potential hybrid powertrain, it would be a shame if the automaker missed an opportunity to nail a new market segment. "There are just too many ongoing projects and we believe that you don't even have enough manpower to manage the ongoing projects. "The former board at a time had to be dissolved because instead of the board to work with the management to make sure that people from the area benefit from the NDDC, they were busy quarrelling over money. To circumvent the Public Procurement Act 2007, the commission was said to have split the job into 30 lots and awarded to political gladiators and cronies of board members and top management staff. Yeah, that old bucket of bolts manufactured by Willys, Kaiser-Jeep, American Motors and Chrysler from 1962 to 1988. Based on the SJ platform of the Wagoneer, the humdrum Jeep Gladiator sold like hot cakes. Jeep CEO Mike Manley previously declared to the automotive media that he’s a fan of the Jeep truck, yet rising demand for SUVs and Ram workhorses are top priority at the present moment. In addition to this, an all-new, Maserati-powered Jeep Grand Wagoneer is slated to debut sometime in 2018. The Jeep Wrangler is also set to receive an all-new generation in 2017. As a consequence, the heavily-anticipated Jeep Pickup is not exactly... Don’t know about you, but the Renegade, next-gen Wrangler, Grand Wagoneer and the adjacent truck is exactly what the Jeep marque needs in order to accelerate its sales momentum. From my point of view, Manley and the designers are afraid of one thing: an all-new Jeep Pickup would cannibalize the sales of the Ram light-duty range of workhorses.
