Pickup truck becomes submerged in water at Erie Basin Marina - Buffalo News

A truck became submerged in water Sunday evening when a man attempted to launch a boat at the Erie Basin Marina, authorities said. The man was backing a Ford Ranger pickup truck down the ramp about 7:45 p. m. and apparently thought the boat would float off the attached trailer into the water, officials said. Instead, the man backed too far into the water, which started to fill the truck, officials said. About an hour later, a tow truck’s winch was used to pull the vehicle out of the water.
