Ford recalls 26000 trucks for seat belt issue - The Detroit News

Washington — Ford Motor Co. said Tuesday it is recalling 26,400 heavy duty F-650 and F-750 trucks in North America because the seat belts may not be anchored in the correct position. The Dearborn automaker said the recall covers the 2011-2013 and 2015 model year trucks that don’t comply with a federal safety standard. “The front passenger and center seat belts might not be anchored in the correct position relative to the seat, increasing the risk of injury in a crash,” Ford said in a statement. Due to the significant number of cab and seat configurations for these vehicles, service procedures are still being developed in an effort to provide a service fix, Ford said. Restore or Preserve? Buying a 1968 Ford Bronco Half Cab [Video] - The Fast Lane

What to do with this 1968 Ford Bronco Sport half cab. It’s not 100% original, but it has the original body, interior, and engine (we think). The carburator, air cleaner, and Shelby valve covers are not original either. Ford did not make very many half cab Broncos. The Sport model makes it even more rare and adds dual fuel tanks and bucket seats. It has manual brakes and manual steering. Should this truck get a frame-off restoration or should it get minimal maintenance to preserve it. We are not even talking about any sorts of modifications. Although, power brakes, power steering, and even fuel injection conversions are common on the original Broncos. Check out these possible Bronco modifications and upgrades as seen on other trucks. This really hits home with me because my dad parked his ’71 Bronco Sport wagon back in 1993, and I’ve always dreamed of getting it restored. I’ve done a lot of research and have a good knowledge of these old trucks. First of all, it’s truly incredible that you guys actually found this truck in the condition it’s in. Like said, the half cabs are near impossible to find at least here in NC. Usually when you find one, everything’s swiss cheese and worn out. That engine looked great and like it was rebuilt recently.
