Sergio Barragan is now a millionaire, having purchased a winning $10 Taxes Paid Scratchers ticket in Salinas, California Lottery officials said Friday. Barragan said he initially bought a $10 Emerald 10’s Scratchers ticket and won $20. He immediately used those winnings to purchase the $10 Taxes Paid Scratchers ticket that turned out to be worth $1 million. Because of the sort of ticket he won on, Barragan won’t owe the standard 25 percent federal taxes that are withheld on wins of more than $5,000. Technically, Barragan won the top prize of $1,333,334. But when the 25 percent the California Lottery... Jean-Claude Van Damme, of martial arts film fame, has listed his Marina del Rey home for sale at $9. 999 million. The more than 7,500 square feet of living space on three stories contains a home theater, a gym, a wine cellar and an elevator. The master-bedroom suite has dual bathrooms for a total of six bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. Van Damme, 54, is a martial artist, actor and film producer and director. Set amid mature olive trees, oaks and Italian cypress is a 9,535-square-foot, Tuscany-inspired house designed by Santa Barbara architect Barry Berkus and built in 1988. A massive hand-carved front door sets an Old World tone. Unusual features include beams from East Coast bridges on the ceiling of the library/study, a hedged secret garden and a third-floor tower room and roof deck with panoramic views. Attached to the main house are 770 square feet of guest quarters including a living room with skylight, a galley kitchen, a fireplace, a bedroom and a bathroom. There is also a 710-square-foot home theater and recording studio. The Ford Explorer has been a staple in the midsize SUV segment for 25 years now. 0-liter inline-four cylinder engine also has been ditched in favor of Ford's new 2. 3-liter inline-four cylinder EcoBoost engine. New for 2016 in the Explorer is the 2. 3-liter inline-four cylinder EcoBoost engine which is available in the base XLT and Limited trim. 0-liter EcoBoost engine has gone away and is replaced by this new form of motivation. While it's also found in the Mustang and Lincoln MKC, Ford claims the 2. 3-liter EcoBoost engine has been calibrated differently for use in the Explorer. Ford estimates this new EcoBoost engine will be good for 28 mpg on the highway with front-wheel drive, be able to tow up to 3,500 pounds, and it will be available with all-wheel drive. Other available engines for the 2016 Explorer include the 3. 5-liter Ti-VCT V6 and Ford's wildly popular 3. 5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine. We'll wait for the rest of the rest of the Explorer's EPA-certified fuel numbers to come out but after initial contact we found the 2. 3-liter EcoBoost engine to be the one to get.
