The truth is, you’d be right to think that but did you also know that classic cars and exotics aren’t the only wheeled vehicles to roll across the auction block. There’s a whole heck of a lot of cool vintage trucks you can get your hands on if you’ve got deeper pockets than a greedy Kangaroo. We’ll admit that some of the lowered performance and sport trucks caught our eye but what really makes us wish we had a winning lotto ticket are some of the classic 4x4’s and off road trucks of the Barrett Jackson Collector Car Auction in... We decided to show you what we thought were some of the coolest 4x4 and off-road trucks of the entire show. Lot #446 - 1941 DODGE CUSTOM 4X4 PICKUP - Sold for $82,500. This 1941 WW2 ½ ton Dodge features all original exterior except for the color. A 1978 truck frame and running gear were swapped in and the whole truck was sprayed in a PPG concept green. The truck also features an IDIDIT column, HWY 15 wiring kit, classic gold gauges, aluminum radiator, Flowmaster exhaust and four-wheel disc brakes. A DANA 44 front differential and a GM 14-bolt rear stuffed with 4. 10 gears get the old Dodge moving while a 28 gallon aluminum fuel cell ensures there’s plenty of fuel to get to your destination. Old Settlers Parade Continues Rich History And Tradition - thejournal-news.net

The first vehicle on the parade route (East Tremont north on Main Street) was a National Guard Humvee driven by William Groves. His front-seat passenger was Will Tackaberry of the Hillsboro Area Veterans Assistance Commission. The camouflaged Humvee was followed by a LMTV (a Guard dump truck) driven by Cameron Fields with Joe Hoppes as passenger. Next came a guard recruiting van driven by Brad Deaton. The county health department's Break The Silence M35/A2 Army truck, painted black and red, was next. Also representing Montgomery County was the VAC's newly-acquired van used primarily to transport area veterans to medical appointments. driving north, Hillsboro Police Chief Gary Satterlee, accompanied by Public Safety Commissioner Connie Hill, was in the left lane. Sheriff Jim Vazzi, accompanied by Jan Wolfe, was in the right in a white Ford Explorer. Following them was a Raymond Police Department Squad car driven by Val Sheldon. Benefitting from the police protection was 2010 parade grand marshall Earl Meier who rode the route in a red Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible driven by his wife Carolyn.
